Chromium target preparation technology
Mix the metal chromium powder with a particle size of 60-320 mesh and the metal chromium powder with a particle size of 320-500 mesh evenly, dry and set aside. The mass ratio of the metal chromium powder with a particle size of 60-320 mesh to the metal chromium powder with a particle size of 320-500 mesh is 5:3 and 9:2.
The mixed chromium powder is added into the cold pressing die, and cold pressed at a pressure of 700 MPa to 100 MPa to form a solid cylinder of the required size as the chromium target blank, with a holding time of 1 second to 120 seconds. The surface of the chromium target blank is wrapped with covering paper and then placed into the hot pressing die and put into the furnace.
Evacuate to 0-15 Pa, heat up to 300°C - 400°C, hold for 10 - 30 minutes, then continue heating to 600°C - 800°C, stop heating, activate the hot pressing equipment, align the upper and lower pressing heads of the hot pressing equipment, and pre-press the chromium target material blank at a pressure of 8 - 12 MPa for 60 - 90 seconds; turn off the hot pressing equipment, continue heating to 1300°C - 1600°C, hold for 30 - 120 minutes; then activate the hot pressing equipment again, hot press and form at a pressure of 20 - 10 MPa, hold the pressure for 1 - 10 minutes, cool down to 100°C and take out of the furnace to obtain the chromium target material.
