NbTi Superconducting Alloy

Niobium-titanium superconducting alloy is a binary alloy low-temperature superconducting material composed of niobium and titanium. It possesses excellent superconducting and processing properties and is one of the most widely used superconducting materials currently available. Its critical temperature can reach 9.5K, and its current density under a 5T magnetic field is 10⁵ A/cm². It is prepared using vacuum casting technology, requiring careful control of the interstitial element content to avoid compositional segregation. Main Application Areas: Large particle accelerators: such as the European LHC and China EAST. Medical magnetic resonance imaging systems: such as MRI equipment with a 12T magnetic field. Superconducting power transmission cables: used for high-efficiency power transmission.
